Asus ZenFone 6 Confirmed To Pack Snapdragon 855, 48MP Camera & 5,000mAh Battery

The upcoming Asus flagship, ZenFone 6, is tipped to come with the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 SoC, a massive 5,000 mAh battery, and a 48MP camera.

Taiwan-based Asus is expected to unveil its next flagship device dubbed Asus ZenFone 6 on 16 May at a launch event in Spain. The handset is rumored to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. Now, the company just posted a new photo on its Twitter page, confirming that the smartphone will come with the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 processor. The photo further confirms that the upcoming Asus flagship will also come with a Notification LED.
As shown on the photo, there will be a 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom along with a USB Type-C port. You might also see a Smart Key placed on its right side which is also the place that the power button and volume rocker are housed. On its left side, there will be three slots for two SIM cards and also a microSD card, according to the teaser photo.
In addition, an executive at Asus also shared some specs of the upcoming Asus ZenFone 6. However, the mentioned details were shared in the form of Morse Code in his Instagram. AndroidPure already converted the code, and they reported that the handset would feature a dual camera system on the rear. The setup is said to comprise of a 48MP primary camera and a 13MP secondary shooter.
Under the hood, it is expected to house a monstrous 5,000 mAh battery. It might also feature a full-screen display with no notch or hole punch on the front, according to Asus’s official teasers. In addition, it was listed on AnTuTu with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340p. For software, it will most likely boot the latest Android 9.0 Pie at launch. In terms of memory and RAM, the phone is hinted to come in three memory configurations.
The base variant of the Asus ZenFone 6 with 6GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage is said to be priced at 19,990 TWD (around Rs. 45,200) while the higher model with 8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage might cost 23,990 TWD (around Rs. 54,400). The top-end option with a whopping 12GB of RAM + 512GB of storage could come with a 29,990 TWD (around Rs. 67,800) price tag.
