Taiwan-based Asus has just announced quite a few products at the Computex 2019 tech show taking place in Taipei. One of the announced products is a limited edition of the newly-launched Asus ZenFone 6. This edition was introduced with the name Asus ZenFone 6 Edition 30 as the company wants to mark its 30th anniversary. The company already confirmed that there will only be 3,000 available units worldwide.
There are not a whole lot of differences between the standard and limited editions of the ZenFone 6 aside from the memory configurations. The ZenFone 6 Edition 30 comes packed with a whopping 12GB RAM + 512GB storage while the standard variants only have 6/8GB RAM + 64/128/256GB storage. The Taiwanese company also offers 30 months of warranty instead of 12 months as usual. Unfortunately, we haven’t got the exact availability and pricing of the phone.
The handset will still sport a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a 2,340 x 1,080p resolution and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It will be powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 SoC with 12GB RAM. In terms of software, it will ship with Asus’ ZenUI v6.0 at launch that based on Android 9.0 Pie.
On the camera front, it comes with a dual camera setup at the back. The setup comprises of a 48MP main sensor with f/1.8 lens and PDAF and a 13MP secondary shooter with f/2.4 lens. It will not have a selfie camera as the dual camera can work both sides thanks to its unique flip camera mechanism. For biometric security, there is a fingerprint mounted on the rear. It will be fueled by a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Other features include Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, and USB-C port.
On the other hand, the standard ZenFone 6 will go on sale in Europe while it is expected to make its way to the Indian market pretty soon as an exclusive offering via Flipkart.
