ASUS has officially introduced its ASUS ROG Phone 2 in the Indian market. The phone is the new gaming-centric phone from the company. The first-gen device was launched in July. It is known that the handset is the first smartphone in the world to come with a Snapdragon 855+ chipset under the hood. The chipset offers 15% faster graphics performance than the Snapdragon 855. The phone also flaunts a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with 240 Hz touch sampling and 120 Hz refresh rate. The device’s other highlights are a huge battery, 48MP dual cameras on the back, Gaming Cooling II, an whopping RAM + internal storage option, and dual vibration motors. The device has the support for various accessories like controller pad, cooling fan, dual-display accessory, a Switch-like docking station for connecting the phone to the TV set, and Nintendo Switch Joy-Con such as controllers.

ASUS ROG Phone 2: Price
The phone has the price of Rs. 37,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It will have AeroCase and 18W charger bundled in the phone’s box. The phone is available for sales in India via Flipkart on the occasion of Big Billion Days. Meanwhile, the 12GB of RAM + 512Gb internal storage variant is priced at Rs. 59,999. However, the launch date for this memory variant remains unknown at present. Buyers will receive the 30W ROG Charger, AeroCase, and AeroActive Cooler with the variant.
As above-mentioned info, the upcoming ROG Phone 2 will have various accessories. The Light Armoured Case, Professional Dock, AeroActive Cooler II, and the 30W Charger have the respective price of Rs. 2,999, Rs. 5,499, Rs. 3,999, and Rs. 1,999. Meanwhile, the Kunai GamePad, the TwinView Dock II, and the Mobile Desktop Dock are priced at Rs. 9,999, Rs. 3,999, and Rs. 12,999, respectively.
ASUS ROG Phone 2: Specifications
Regarding the specs of the phone, in terms of software, the phone runs ROG UI based on Android 9 Pie at launch. This gaming-focused phone sports a 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with HDR 10 compatibility, and 120 Hz ultra-smooth screen frame rate. In addition, the screen has an on-screen fingerprint sensor for security and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protective layer. Under the hood, the device comes with a Snapdragon 855+ octa-core chipset clocked at 2.89 GHz. It is coupled with 8GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM + 512GB internal storage with UFS 3.0 support.

In terms of imaging capabilities, the handset comes with a dual rear camera setup including a 48MP main sensor, and a 13MP depth sensor. On the front, the handset has a 24MP selfie camera for video calling and taking selfies. The phone comes with dual 5-magnet speakers on the front with Hi-Res audio, dual smart amplifier, quad noise-free mics, and DTS. Other connectivity options of the phone comprise of dual-band Wifi, 4G LTE, 2 USB-C ports, and Bluetooth v5.0. In addition, the handset is packed with a massive 6,000 mAh battery with support for 30W quick charging tech.
The company also launched various accessories with its upcoming gaming-centric phone. They are hand-held controller Kunai, TwinView 2 dock for dual-display experience, and cooling device Turbo Fan with faster cooling rate. The TwinView comes with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 5,000mAh external cell for an overall combined cell capacity of up to 11,000mAh, and Kunai console support. Additionally, there is an ASUS Lightning Armour case with support for NFC and RGB customization support for the phone, ROG Professional Dock, and ROG Mobile Desktop Dock with USB-C, HDMI, USB ports and Ethernet for connectivity.
