ASUS ROG Phone 2 Unveiled In China With Starting Price Of Rs. 35,000

ASUS has recently introduced its ROG Phone 2 in China on July 23 with an official price tag unlike its global release a day before.
This first Snapdragon 855 Plus smartphone in the world comes in 4 variants in the Chinese market. The first variant called Tencent Elite has 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and costs CNY3,499 (roughly Rs. 35,000). Another variant, Classic Version also gets Tencent Games carved on the rear panel but it comes with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage and has a quite high price of CNY5,999 (roughly Rs. 60,000).
Meanwhile, the Extreme Edition third version with unknown RAM and internal storage is priced at CNY7,999 (roughly Rs. 80,000). It is likely that this version will have 12GB RAM + 512GB storage with some additional features or/and accessories. According to the company, this variant will go for sales in Q4 2019.
The last variant called e-Sports Armor Edition has a custom briefcase with many accessories comprising of a 30W charger that is not included in the standard variant box. This variant is priced at CNY12,999 (roughly Rs. 130,400).
Currently, people are only able to pre-order the first 2 variants through JD.com. The pre-order program takes place from 23 July to 30 July while the initial sale will commence on 31 July.
To recall, the ROG Phone 2 sport a 120Hz 6.59-inch 10-bit HDR AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 6 protective layer for both panels, a lowest-ever touch latency of 49ms, an 240Hz touch sampling rate and a response time of 1ms.
It features stereo speakers on the front with DTS:X 7.1 virtual surround sound, on-screen fingerprint sensor, a 24MP selfie camera, and NXP 9874 Smart Amplifier. In addition, the handset also has a Sony IMX586 main sensor with 48MP resolution on the back, alongside a 13MP super-wide sensor. Besides, the device has upgraded touch-sensitive triggers on its side with superior haptic feedback.
Powering it is a beefy 6,000 mAh battery with the 30W quick charging tech, Quick Charge 4 Plus, and USB-PD. Several connectivity options of the handset include a headphone jack, FM Radio, NFC, and Dual SIM. Besides, the device has a liquid cooling system named GameCool II, alongside a 3D vapour chamber. And the phone’s rear panel has the outstanding Aura logo, which is also customizable.
On the bottom edge, the phone has a USB-C port supporting Quick Charge 3.0, USB Power Delivery 3.0 and USB 2.0 transfer. The side-aligned USB Type-C port has the support for up to 10GBps USB 3.1 Gen 2 transfer speeds, as well as outputting 4K videos due to Quick Charge 3.0, USB Power Delivery 3.0, Quick Charge 4.0, and DisplayPort 1.4.
Near USB Type-C port is an exclusive port for paring accessories such as AeroActive Cooler II, TwinView Dock II, and Mobile Desktop Dock. However, the brand did not announce these accessories’ price.
