Only a few days left, Redmi - Xiaomi's sub-brand will officially launch its next flagship product line, Redmi K30. This series will include two models: Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 5G - Redmi's first 5G-enabled smartphone.

At the moment, we have a fairly complete look at the Redmi K30 duo through recent rumors surfacing online, including design, specifications, features and meeting day.
Design & Display

The Redmi K30 will come with a hole-punch display design, in which the punch-hole is placed in the top left corner to accommodate a dual selfie camera cluster, similar to Samsung's Galaxy S10+. In addition, the bezels on both sides and the top are also quite thin, while the bottom chin is a bit thicker.
At the back, the handset has a glass back, combined with a 4-camera system arranged vertically and surrounded by a rather large circle. Underneath the camera cluster will be a dual-LED flash and a 5G logo, while the fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button on the side.

According to the report, the Redmi K30 will be equipped with a 6.6-inch screen, using IPS LCD panel with Full HD + resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), 20:9 aspect ratio. Some sources claim that the "Pro" model will have a 120Hz screen, while the Redmi K30 only comes with a regular 60Hz display.
The screens of both phones are protected by Gorilla Glass 5, which is not the latest Corning standard but is still well protected.
Hardware & Software
As mentioned above, at least one device in the Redmi K30 series will support 5G network connectivity. However, unlike all other 5G smartphones available on the market today, the Redmi K30 5G will not use Qualcomm's processor. Instead, this phone will use MediaTek's first 5G chipset.

Specifically, Redmi K30 5G will be equipped with MediaTek Dimension 1000 5G chipset and dual 5G support. That means it's compatible with both SA and NSA modes (instead of single-mode 5G like the Snapdragon X50 modem on 5G phones using the Snapdragon 855+ chip). Therefore, this device can use LTE infrastructure if 5G is not fully available in certain areas, not necessarily relying on 4G.
In AnTuTu's performance review, the Dimension 1000 scored an even higher benchmark score than Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855+ and Apple A13 Bionic. According to rumors, the handset will also have a 4G variant using the weaker Snapdragon 730G chip, which is considered an upgrade over its predecessor, Redmi K20.

The Redmi K30 will come with the lowest internal memory option of 64GB. Regarding software, it is likely that the device will come pre-installed with Android 10 and Xiaomi's latest MIUI 11 user interface.
Camera & Battery
Besides impressive performance, Redmi K30 will also be equipped with a rear camera system with excellent quality. The cluster of 4 cameras on the back of the device will reportedly consist of a Sony IMX686 main sensor with 60MP resolution, 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor, 8MP telephoto sensor with optical zoom and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, the device will have a selfie camera with a 32MP main sensor and a ToF sensor for 3D face recognition.
Redmi K30 is expected to come with a battery capacity from 4,500mAh to 5,000mAh, promising to bring extremely long battery life for users. The phone will support 27W fast charging technology, which is much higher than the 18W fast charging technology used on the Redmi K20.
Price & Launch Date

Recently, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Redmi K30 and K30 5G will be launched on December 10 in China. Later, the duo may be launched on the international market with a different name, like the K20 series (renamed Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro). The Redmi K30 is rumored to have a starting price of CNY 1,999 yuan (roughly Rs. 20,200).
