The Redmi Note 8 already unveiled in China back in August currently comes in 3 memory variants including 4GB RAM + 64GB memory, 6GB RAM + 64GB onboard memory, and 6GB RAM + 128GB memory. However, the latest listing on TENNA certification site suggested that the company will probably offer an additional 8GB of RAM + 256GB internal storage variant in the coming time. Also, there is a microSD slot for storage expansion. Other specs of the phone should be unchanged. Unfortunately, the phone’s release date and its availability have not been revealed so far. We hope we could know more information early.

To recall, the mid-range smartphone sports a 6.39-inch display with Full HD+ resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protective layer. Under the hood, it comes with an 11nm Snapdragon 885 octa-core chipset clocked at 2 GHz, coupled with Adreno 601 GPU. In terms of software, the phone runs Xiaomi's MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie at launch to take care of the software side of things. In the camera department, the handset has a quad rear camera module including a 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM2 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.

In addition, the phone comes with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling. The phone measures 158.3x75.3x8.35 mm and weighs 190g. On the rear panel, the phone also has a fingerprint scanner for security. Besides, the phone features P2i nano-coating (Splash proof). Other connectivity options of the phone comprise of USB-C port, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, Bluetooth v.5, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11, and 4G VoLTE. Furthermore, the phone is packed with a 4,000mAh cell with support for the 18W charging tech. The phone currently has three color options including White, Black, and Blue.
