The iCloud installations are currently being blocked by Microsoft for all PCs with the most recent updates of Window 10.
Microsoft, once again, stopped as well as rolled back the Window 10's October update globally. The reason behind Microsoft decision is due to an iCloud's bug that causes problems in syncing and updating its photo albums sharing.
It seems Microsoft's finding it hard to push put a stable Windows 10 October Update. Microsoft stated that it is joining hands with Apple in fixing the iCloud bug. Neither Apple nor Microsoft provided the time when the rollout will start back up. The issue remains on the updated version 1809 of Window 10, the updated version 1809 of Window Server, and the Window Server 2019.
Microsoft blocks all PCs which has the most recent update from installing iClouds. If the users manage to override the block, however, they will notify with a warning of “this version of iCloud for Windows isn’t supported, and the installation will fail.” In case the users persist in installing the update, they will have to deal with the aforementioned problems of synchronizing photos, which may disturb their experience.
Microsoft published a post on its user-support page, saying that the problem has been diagnosed to lie in the Shared Albums, which enables users to send videos and photos to others privately. But it hasn't revealed the exact issue that caused this iCloud bug.
The October update of Window 10 has got many serious bugs since they have debuted. The recent update rollout was delayed and recalled due to a bug relating to the zip file operations. The bug results in a problem that users do not receive their warning during unzip operation. In other words, Window 10 does not inform you of what it is executing, and it may automatically overwrite your files without your knowledge.
