Now, new users of Reliance Jio’s broadband service will get to benefit from a new free 10Mbps plan. This plan was recently launched under its #CoronaHaregaIndiaJeetega initiative. The plan will make sure users have good connectivity no matter where they are in their houses, which is perfect for those working from home due to the ongoing pandemic.
The telco will provide a new connection in geographically feasible places. If you want to subscribe to this plan, you just need to sign up for an account on Jio’s website or the MyJio app. If you’re already a JioFiber customer, your data amount will be doubled based on your current FUP limit.
The new free plan gives users a 10Mbps data speed and applies no FUP limit for now. But users will have to buy the Wi-Fi router and pay Rs 1,500 as a refundable deposit. Those who opt for this basic plan will be switched to other JioFiber plans later when the pandemic is contained. In addition, Jio said that it was making extra efforts to ensure connectivity for people as the entire country is now on full lockdown.
In related news, Reliance Jio recently launched the Work From Home plan with a recharge fee of Rs 251. This recharge pack gives users 2GB data a day, making a total 102GB for its validity. Its basically the same cricket pack that Jio introduced for the IPL season. This pack provides users with additional data amount apart from what they already have on a daily basis.
