Non-Premium YouTube Users Will Receive Picture-In-Picture Mode Too

The option to turn on PiP mode can be found in Settings > General menu in YouTube’s Android app.

Initially, the PiP (picture-in-picture) mode in Youtube was available to Premium users only, but now even non-Premium users outside the US can use this mode too. For now, the company is rolling the PiP mode to regular users in Italy and it may gradually expand to other countries.

Relating to this news, GSMArena has recently said that you can find the option of turning on PiP by visiting the YouTube app, tap on Settings then select General; however, the feature only works on Android 8.0 or higher.

As informed on Google’s support page, however, US non-Premium users of the video streaming platform can benefit from the PiP mode with advertisements. Those who are not Premium subscribers can play videos (non-music) then exit the app to see whether it stops or turns into picture-in-picture mode. These users are also able to double check for the setting within the app.
