Netflix Tests Weekly Rs 65 Streaming Plan For Indian Mobile Users

"We are always looking for ways to make Netflix more enjoyable and accessible," says the world leading streaming service.

Last month, Netflix rolled out a cheaper subscription for mobile phones only in India. Now, the streaming service begins testing more of similar subscription plans for India mobile users. In particular, it is offering a new weekly plan exclusively for mobile users in the country, which is priced at Rs 65 per week. This is the cheapest streaming plan that the company is providing in India.

According to Gadgets 360 report, Netflix’s weekly plans are currently available with four pricing tiers, including an Ultra plan priced at Rs 200 supporting four devices and 4K resolution, a Standard plan priced at Rs 165 supporting two devices and HD resolution, a Basic plan priced at Rs 125 with SD only, and the new mobile-only plan priced at Rs 65.

In addition, the world leading streaming service is also testing a Rs 250 monthly plan only for mobile users.

It’s worth noting that the new Rs 65 plan allows just one screen at a time, which means users can only stream on either their tablet or smartphone. Plus, users of this plan can’t access contents at HD or 4K resolution either. It looks like Netflix is exploring subscription for mobile users only with new budget packages for the Asian and other growing markets. Last time, the company silently began testing these affordable mobile-only plans for users in Malaysia.
