Lenovo Will Partner With Intel To Develop AI And Computing In The Next Years

Lenovo, known as one of the most renowned supercomputer providers, would optimize the partner’s full portfolio of both software and hardware solutions relating to AI and HPC.

On August 05, the US tech company Intel and Lenovo, the computer manufacturer in Beijing, China made an official announcement on their partnership in the next years. This move aims to boost the combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) to handle the most difficult issues in the world.

Lenovo, known as one of the most renowned supercomputer providers, would optimize the partner’s full portfolio of both software and hardware solutions relating to AI and HPC. These solutions can be used as the foundation for the company’s market strategies.

As the Senior Vice President and President of Data Center Group at Lenovo, Kirk Skaugen stated,

Lenovo’s liquid cooling technology, Neptune, will be combined with the 2nd Gen Xeon Scalable platform of Intel to allow their customers to free many kinds of unknown data insights.

As of now, Lenovo servers have been widely used by 19 global markets, with about 173 of the “TOP500” supercomputers across the world. Additionally, among the 25 most prominent research universities, up to 17 are leveraging the infrastructure of Lenovo.
