According to a recent survey conducted by Singular, a marketing startup. The two Internet giants Facebook and Google still remain as the safest and most popular platform of choice for advertisers.
The Index
Singular’s index was generated as a result of its diligent sampling of $1.5 billion in ad spending from the $10 billion that the company aided in managing and optimizing per annum. Measurements are made based on the return of investment (ROI), particularly, which platform delivers the best ROI. Singular also adjusted the index to account for ad fraud. The number of companies it removed from the index was record-breaking: 15. The reason for this, they explained, was because of “excessive fraud.”
Now we don’t have the data to look further into whether these companies are true what Singular made them out to be. But considering the fact that the company is one of the most reputable firms when it comes to market analysis. It’s not a bad idea to trust in their judgment.
Facebook vs. Google
The company that came first atop all was Facebook, followed closely by Google.
This is a known fact that even amateurs to social media can easily point out and comprehend. As the two platforms with the largest user-base, coupling with their reputation. There are little doubts in their ability to reach out to consumers and provide advertisers with the audience and the ROI they needed.
Growth in Others
Another peculiar detail of the index was that it specifically noted the growth of Snap. The company’s standing improved on all of the lists included as part of the index in comparison to the previous year. It is now the third trusted network on non-gaming ads on popular mobile OS-es like Android and iOS.
Twitter performed well on iOS, on count of its retention of consumers.
Performance on Mobile Operating Systems
Singular also assessed performance based on operating systems.
It’s observed that Android is more volatile than iOS, as 1/3 of the companies appearing on the list are new names appearing for the first time. And 80% of companies which had previously been included by Singular changed their positions throughout the list.
iOS is far more stable, with a lower count of companies changing their position at 73%. Lastly, the entirety of the list only includes two new networks.
