Apple Now Owns A TikTok Account, But Has Yet To Post Anything

Apple is likely to reinforce its foothold on social media with a TikTok account.

Recently, Apple seemingly wants to get closer to social networks as it started to approach Instagram with a set of iPhone-shot photos and videos. Today, the appearance of Apple’s verified account on TikTok has caught attention from some users, raising questions about what the company will post there.

The account (@apple) at present only has 1312 followers as it is still quite new. Until now, there still hasn’t been anything on its profile other than a verification badge, which appears to be a sign of its officiality on this video-sharing platform.

Although we still haven't been able to figure out what Apple will do with this account, there are two possible assumptions. Since the success of the #ShotoniPhone campaign on Instagram, which attracted more than 23 million followers, Apple is likely to reinforce its foothold on social media with another TikTok campaign.

TikTok itself is mainly about entertaining videos, so there is no doubt that Apple can easily post any shots and edited content from the iPhone on its profile.

What's more, this might have something to do with business and there won’t be any public videos, which can be related to the way Apple uses Twitter. As there has been a long time when the company approached TikTok and showed some ads, such a business account may be responsible for that possibility.

TikTok now is becoming more and more popular with approximately 800 million active users worldwide. That number clearly is a remarkable achievement. So, with this popularity, the appearance of Apple’s account there is reasonable.
