Those who own a Porche Taycan will now have the ability to shuffle through their collection of songs on Apple Music with their vehicle’s touchscreen display. It is reported that the giant automaker has already teamed up with Apple in order to integrate the music streaming app into its upcoming electric automobile.
This will mark the first time that Apple Music is featured as a standalone application within an automobile, and it seems that this might not be the only one. In addition, Porsche also plans on giving its current and new customers free access to Apple’s music-streaming service for six months. As if granting a new feature for their consumers’ ride were not already enough, Taycan’s owners are going to have even more perks waiting for them.

The feature is not limited only to those who buy a premium Porsche’s electric vehicles (EVs) when it is available, however, owners of Taycan are also receiving an extra bonus, which is an offer of three years in-car internet access. Porsche Connect’s sales director and marketing – Lars Buchwald – stated that data consumption is not what Porsche’s consumers have to worry about while streaming.

True integration can be expected. Customers will be able to see an icon of Apple Music on their Taycan’s entertainment center displays, they won’t need to pair their phone with it. All that must be done is to have their Apple’s IDs linked with their Porche accounts. Customers can then have all the access within the service, since the Porches app share similarities with its mobile counterpart. What’s more, Taycan’s consumers will have the ability to use Porsche’s own voice assistant to change songs or even radio stations, which are only a part of the whole thing.
The giant automaker giant further stated that Porsche Taycan’s will also have access to Apple CarPlay, which opens opportunities for more potential features for its vehicles.
