On August 12, the US technology company Amazon announced its launch of Marketplace Appstore in the Indian market to help sellers realize trusted third-party apps which allow them to grow, manage, and automate their own business.
With the Marketplace Appstore from Amazon, sellers can save more effort and time to look for vital solutions that can meet their demands such as sales analytics tools or shipping providers. In addition, the platform also helps them to search, compare, and filter apps based on their needs.
As the VP of Seller Services at Amazon India, Gopal Pillai said,
Amazon, as well as many external developers, suggests lots of solutions on the Appstore, from price points to functionalities. There are up to 13 categories for sellers to search and filter applications, including tax remittance, order and inventory management, and accounting.
Via the platform, the company checks all solution providers before introducing them to its customers. This move aims to remove the ambiguity from the third-party validation.
Also, sellers can easily explore suitable solutions for their own business, grant data access, as well as complete all purchases. All of these tasks will be conducted via some clicks.
Pillai further noted,
The Marketplace Appstore provides about 100 applications that allow sellers in India to approach potential customers more easily and bring a better experience to them.
