Apple Stores Got Stolen, Losing Up To $1 Million, 17 Were Arrested

17 suspects were arrested for stealing devices from multiple Apple stores, which caused monetary damages to the company up to more than $1 million.

Lately in San Francisco, the police in the United States of America has made an official announcement about putting 17 people behind bars for being involved with a series of robberies aiming at Apple stores which are located in 19 different counties in California, which caused monetary damages to the company up to more than $1 million.
Just a few days ago in California, during the iPhone new device release weekend, the Alto Apple store’s electronics devices, which cost up to tens of thousands dollars, were stolen.
Just within two days, the store lost about $107,000 due to this incidence.
It happened right after the release of the new smartphones iPhone XS and XS Max. The event which drew the attention of a huge amount of the technology fans to the Apple stores everywhere.
Attorney General Xavier Becerra reported on Friday:
The gang took advantage of the event and managed to stole more than $20,000 of electronics devices.
Becerra added to the report:
For the last few years, it has been quite a common thing to catch people trying to shoplift in Apple stores by quickly coming close to the devices and swiping them while no one notices.
Just from late August to the end of September, there were six Apple stores reported to be robbed in the total of nine times at least.
On last Sunday, one of the Apple stores in Santa Rosa also lost some of their products for the second time of the month due to robbery, according to Fox News .
