WhatsApp Is Gonna Go Against Entities That Abuse Its Platform

From the 7th of this December, WhatApps will take legal actions against entities that involve in sending bulk and automated messages on its platform.
This new development proves to be very significant because recent reports have shown that online marketers and others are using tools to send out spam content through the Facebook-owned messaging platform. At the moment, there are about one billion active users of this app around the world. Two hundred million of which are in India , so this is a significant market for the company.
India has more than 200 million WhatsApp users, which makes it a key market for the company.
From the FAQs section, the company said that its product is not for the usage of sending out automated or bulk messages. These activities are against the platform's service terms.
They said that from the 7th December of this year, the company would go against those that have been determined to engage or assist in actions of abusing the platform and violate their Term of Services. That includes non-personal usage, sending bulk or automated messages. They also added that their determination also bases on the information off-platform that they have gathered. This info includes the public claims of companies about their usage of WhatsApp which violates terms of the platform.
WhatsApp has taken action against automated messaging and to limits the abusing of its platform.
On the designated date or before that for the companies that Whatapps have found the on-platform abusing evidence of, a spokesperson of WhatsApp will reply to the abusers with a message from WhatsApp. Thus, this message is about WhatsApp's actions against automated messaging and to limits the abusing of the platform.
