According to The Hill report, US Representative Devin Nunes from California has filed a $250 million lawsuit against the social media platform Twitter as well as its users that mocked him. In the history of the federal court, nobody but the Republican may ever mention Human Centipede - a horror film produced in the Netherlands.

One Twitter account posted a piece of video cut from the above-mentioned horror film to hint the relationship between Devin Nunes, the US President Donald Trump, and Russia in which Nunes can be identified as a character in attachment with Trump. As per Devin Nunes, he said that the statement was completely defamatory. Also in the suit, Twitter was alleged to targeting conservatives to keep their messages silent on purpose.

Some of the Twitter accounts were named because of how they used to insult the Congressman. For example, one Twitter user named @DevinNunesMom to feign as his mother to give fake statements. On the internet, a lot of users held Devin Nunes up to mockery because he was the one at the helm to investigate the case in which Donald Trump entered into collusion with Russia. Others made a mock of him for calling @DevinNunesMom (also known as @DevinCow) a “vicious defamation campaign”.
The lawsuit is said to create the “Streisand effect” – a term used to depict a phenomenon when someone wants to hide or censor information on the internet but gets the adverse effect, which he/she can’t predict at the beginning.
