On Wednesday, Twitter has announced a new feature that allows its users to invite guests to participate in their live videos. Additionally, the number of guests can be up to three people. The social network apparently wants its live-streaming service to feel more like a talk show. Furthermore, Twitter is working on another feature that will let viewers explore videos from guests.
To allow some guests to join the stream, users need to click on the icon with two smiley faces, then tap on a plus button and choose someone who they want to add to the live broadcast. Note that the feature will have five seconds to countdown before a guest accepts to join. The dedicated feature is expected to make both streamers and viewers on the platform more collaborative and interactive across live videos.
As part of that, when guests are added to a live broadcast on Twitter, all audiences of that live-streaming video will be able to hear their audio. At any time a guest decides to leave, host users can invite others to join as soon as possible.
Earlier this year, the world’s largest micro-blogging platform once unveiled about this dedicated feature through the live video-streaming app Periscope then make an important decision of integrating it to the main platform. Twitter has bought Periscope since 2015 for an undisclosed amount.
