Twitter India Has Just Appointed Manish Maheshwari As New MD

On April 22, Manish Maheshwari, who used to serve as Network18 Digital CEO, become a new managing director of Twitter India. The new appointment came about 8 months after Taranjeet Singh left his job as a Country Director.

The interim leader of Twitter India’s group, Balaji Krish, will come back to keep working as Global Head of Revenue Strategy and Operations at the company’s global headquarters, San Francisco, California.

The company stated that Maheshwari was reporting to the VP and Managing Director of Asia Pacific at Twitter Maya Hari. In the upcoming time, the new managing director will take responsibility for managing the company’s business strategies to push up the number of its audience as well as revenue growth in the Indian market.

He will work at the Delhi-based office and supervise all teams of Twitter India in three cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi on April 29 2019. According to Maya Hari,

Before working for Network 18 Digital, Maheshwari held many important positions at P&G, McKinsey, Intuit, txtWeb, and Flipkart.

The new managing director said,

As per the former Country Director, Taranjeet Singh began to work at Twitter India in May 2017 and left his job in September 2018. Now, he is now working as ZEE5 India’s Chief Revenue Officer. (ZEE5 is a video streaming service of Zee Group)

Until now, Twitter has gathered more than 30 million active users in the Indian market. The company has just named Krish as its new interim country head.

Maheshwari is expected to lead all teams and keep increasing the attraction of the platform to Indian users via conversation features.
