Those who want to subscribe to Twitch streamers on the iOS platform have to buy iOS Sub Token through the app for roughly Rs. 427

Now iOS users can subscribe to their favorite streamers on their devices with the updated Twitch app.

The news was announced by Twitch at San Diego-based TwitchCon 2019. However, the feature was already unveiled on October 18.  Subscriptions differently work on iOS than other operating systems on which the app is available. This is because Apple requires a 30% cut of every digital subscriptions and media that were sold via apps on the App Store. Therefore, most businesses, such as Twitch’s owner Amazon do not sell their media via apps on the iOS platform.

Users need to buy iOS Sub Token via the Twitch app on iOS for the subscription on the platform. The tokens cost US$5.99 (roughly Rs. 427). That is due to the cut that the California-based giant takes for purchases of apps on the App Store. Users can redeem the token then for a Tier 1 sub for one month.

Additionally, users can also purchase 12 tokens at a time. It remains unknown if users can buy Tier 2 or Tier 3 subscriptions with them. Furthermore, the tokens have a bit higher price than desktop subs to cover for App Store fees. Especially, within this month, you can buy two tokens for only US$8.89.

As you may know, Twitch first became famous for video game streaming. Now it has transformed into a worldwide playground for influencers and advertisers who seek to win more young audiences who are not interested in watching traditional TV. It is known that, so far, there have been tens of millions of viewers watching billions of hours of videos streamed on Twitch. However, everything has its own pros and cons. The skyrocketing fan base of the site has also attracted those that seek to sow discord as well as mass violence.
