Reliance Jio has introduced a new plan for its mobile subscribers. This is the second long-term plan offering a validity of almost one year. Due to tariff revision, telcos have been changing their plans as well as offerings.
Now, Reliance Jio offers users a new long-term plan, in which they will be able to recharge their number only once and won’t have to worry about recharging for the next year.
Jio Rs 4,999 plan: Benefits and comparison
With a price of Rs 4,999, the new long-term plan offers 360 days of validity, making it an annual prepaid plan. The telecom provider considers 28-day validity for monthly plans and annual plans will come with a validity of 366 days. But with 360 valid days, the new plan is better. Subscribers of this plan get 350GB of internet data. Instead of a daily amount, this offered data is valid throughout 360 days.
The data offered is unlimited, meaning after using up the 350GB high-speed data, users will switch to using regular-speed data at 64kbps. There are also other benefits such as unlimited calls between Jio networks. Besides, users who subscribe to this plan will also have 12,000 minutes of free calling from Jio network to other networks. Subscribers will additionally get 100 SMS messages on a daily basis along with a free subscription to other Jio apps like Jio TV, Jio Cinema, and more.
There is another plan at Rs 2,121, which used to go under the name New Year Offer. It offers 336 days of validity, 1.5GB of data a day, meaning 504GB for the entire year. After using up 1.5GB high-speed data, users will switch to 64kbps. Those who subscribe to this plan will also get to enjoy unlimited voice calls between Jio networks as well as 12,000 minutes calls to non-Jio networks.
The Rs 2,121 plan also offers users with 100 SMS messages a day and subscription to apps like Jio TV and Jio Cinema. If you think about the amount of high-speed data, the Rs 2,121 plan seems better. Meanwhile, the Rs 4,999 plan offers less data for twice the cost and just 24 more valid days. But it all comes down to personal preference, if you like continuous service for the entire year, the Rs 4,999 plans is a more suitable option.
