Since Microsoft has been focusing on gaining revenues from Azure cloud service, it’s a serious issue that Microsoft needs to try its best.

It sounds weird if you hear that Microsoft wants its Azure cloud service to be attacked more frequent for detecting more risks. However, the software giant doesn’t encourage any malicious attacks. So what exactly does Microsoft want?

To change that, Microsoft will reportedly it won’t take any legal action against those bug-finders.

Kimberlee Price, a spokesperson working at Microsoft’s Security Response Center, said that the company wants security researchers to try more attacks on its flagship cloud system to help it discover more flaws as well as solutions. Though many White Hat hackers are doing similar works for some older products such as Windows operating systems and Office suites, there are not enough working on Azure. To change that, Microsoft will reportedly it won’t take any legal action against those bug-finders, alongside building a system to reward them.

Keep in mind that a formal policy related to legal stuff is in demand for both the company and researchers. To work more on the vulnerability of this system, it's understandable as researchers are worried about the trouble when they access to customer data.
