At the Microsoft’s annual Build developer conference this year, the company said that all users can now use its search engine Microsoft Search which is designed for Microsoft web and apps.
Microsoft Search was first introduced in September 2018, and now it keeps expanding to all applications in Office 365.
When you search any keyword, the search engine will offer results from a variety of sources including Windows, Bing, Office applications, and Teams. In addition, it combines search results with various local files, commands and many other data to show personalized results.
The Search box will be put in the same position of all applications in Microsoft 365, from SharePoint, Office, Outlook, Windows, Bing, and OneDrive.
According to the release statement of the company,
The company states that because the search engine is deeply connected to the Microsoft Graph, users won’t have any difficulties in looking for commands, activities, people or content in Microsoft 365 if necessary.
Microsoft also further said,
Microsoft Search makes use of the developer platform Microsoft Graph which is developed to connect various devices and services. With the platform, developers can leverage outstanding advantages of functionalities of cross platforms, as well as seamless connectivity of non-Microsoft and Windows platforms.
