Microsoft Research in India's principal researcher - Manohar Swaminathan has commented on the upcoming event. He said that at MRI, they have successfully developed ML (machine learning) and AI (artificial intelligence) tech, which could be used in low-resource places. He said:
The Empower conference in Delhi will provide the intellectuals a ground for innovation by connecting assistive technologies' designers, people with disabilities with such tools.
Empowering people with disabilities
ASSISTECH's founder and IIT Delhi's professor, M Balakrishnan said that it is crucial for any society to integrate differently-abled people, provide them with equal opportunities in education and mobility.
He also added that assistive tech could help to empower people with disabilities to adapt and take part in societal progress. With the organization of this conference, they look forward to finding solutions for the challenges which people with disabilities are facing.
This event will become an opportunity to bring together all user organizations, users, industries, and researchers taking part in the dissemination, production, and creation of assistive tech solutions.
