Intel's Workstation X-Series Chips Are A Bit Faster But Much Cheaper

Intel, after a slew of leakage last week, has officially confirmed new performance specifications and other data figures for its new chips including 18-core i9 Extreme Edition, as well as X-Series chips of the 9th generation. Meanwhile, the upper 18-core for the same i9 but in Extreme Edition will cost you $979. If you are interested in 18-core i9-7980XE, the chip that can boost the speeds up to 4.4 GHz, you may need to fulfill your budget with $2,000 in total. 

So far you’ve been familiar with X-Series chips, yet Intel has also introduced the newest W-2200 Xeon CPUs. With these upgraded chips, the minimum specifications you can obtain is 10 percent for 3D rendered tasks, as well as 11 percent for 4K video editing, not to mention 2.2 times better of the performance of AI inference. Finally, it should be noted that Intel is reportedly reducing the price for its product line. Hopefully, users will be able to get some discounts in the near future.
