India is not only rising as the world’s fastest-growing smartphone market, but it’s now also a large pool for wireless earbuds makers to dive into. In 2019, true wireless earbuds shipments in the country increased by 700 percent, making it the fastest-growing market for true wireless earbuds in the world.
Besides, as of now, Apple has secured a dominant position in this market in India. Meanwhile, Noise has occupied second place. And Realme has made it to the top five thanks to its Realme Buds Air, a pair of AirPods-like wireless earbuds.

In the Indian true wireless earbuds market in 2019, Apple got a 27% market share, according to a report from Counterpoint Research. The tech giant has been the best-selling brand in this market throughout the year due to the strong sales of the 2nd-gen AirPods. And though other competitors are also attempting to get a piece of the pie with their cheaper products, Apple is said to remain the leader in this segment.
In the second position, the Gurugram-based company, Noise, has captured 12 percent of the wireless earbuds market. Its best-selling products of last year include the Noise Shots X5 and X1 Air.

In the third position is JBL, a US company owned by Harman International, Samsung’s subsidiary. Specifically, the firm got 8 percent of the wireless earbuds market in India in 2019. As stated by the report, the JBL C100TWS launched at Rs 4,000 contributed to the company’s success in the segment last year.
Research Analyst Shilpi Jain at Counterpoint Research said that the growth in true wireless earbuds sales is attributed to the increasing demand for audio content, portability, smart assistants, as well as advancements such as health and fitness tracking.
