Owners of Google Pixel handsets will soon be able to upgrade their experience with new features that are set to come in the on-the-go update. Some of these features will make their way into all Pixel smartphones, however, some are made available to only Google’s flagships in the latest Pixel 4 series.

1. Smart Dark Mode
The first feature we’re going to mention is the ability to set a scheduled time for the dark mode. Users need to sync the sunrise/sunset time based on their time zone, and the devices will enable the dark theme autonomously.
2. Rules tailored for different network connections

This allows Pixel users to customize their phone settings such as ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode, Silence mode, and so on whenever they connect to a Wi-Fi network in specific locations like home or workplace.
3. Emoji 12.1
The 12.1 version adds 169 additional emojis to Pixel devices.
4. Fast accesses to bank cards and online tickets

Owners of Pixel phones can take advantage of the power button to use their debit/credit cards or boarding passes, event tickets, and more. This feature is limited to users living in select countries like the US, UK, Canada, etc…
In addition, Pixel 4 users will get quick dials for emergency cases and medical information.
5. Updated Google Pay
This feature is made available to Google Pixel 3, 3a, and 4 models. All users need to do is capture a boarding pass barcode and add in into this payment app to receive real-time flight updates and other useful information about the trip.
6. Motion Sense

Motion Sense is the exclusive feature for the Pixel 4 series. For instance, when you walk away, it will power down automatically and once you saunter back over, it’ll switch on instead.
