A few weeks after the controversial Cybertrucks were uncovered, Elon Musk was spotted driving it in Malibu, Los Angeles. In the process of showcasing his latest invention, he might have broken a few laws by making an illegal turn and knock a sign over.
While this was not the first time the Cybertruck was seen on the road, before this, Elon Musk has never been seen driving it himself.
Running prototypes on the roads is a common practice for automakers to make sure that the new models are fit for mass production. They have done this so much that there are several people who are willing to do anything to get a few photos of these prototypes. To hide all information from the public before the models are ready to be introduced, automakers usually implement measures like bodyworks and camouflage to hide the test vehicles from sight.
However, in this case, even if he wants to, Elon Musk may have a hard time hiding the Cybertruck because of its special shape. Musk did not seem to care about camouflage the truck last weekend though. He even took it to Nobu, a place where celebrities usually gather.
The prototype does not have a number of vital features needed for it to be driven legally on the streets, such as brake lights, headlights, windshield wipers, and side mirrors.
The Cybertruck’s design alone has inspired lots of people to go for the $100 deposit to get one, and Musk's latest show he threw at Nobu is expected to increase the number even more.
