On January 22, the Model 3’s owner, Andy Sutton, detected a big dent on his beloved car’s door handle. What did he do at that time? He decided to log on Twitter and share his fury, “Really wish there was 360 dash cam feature while parked.”

The magic happened! Elon Musk, the co-founder and CEO of Tesla, without any predictive signals, suddenly replied Sutton’s Tweet only after three hours. He said that Tesla would soon roll out the new feature called “Sentry Mode.”
As such, it is likely that the company is developing a dash cam designed with high-resolution and high-tech standards, which can bring safety to your Model 3, especially when you are not near it.
However, not all of Tesla customers can enjoy the exciting feature. According to the latest news sources, it only aims to those who prepaid the amount of $5,000 (equivalent to Rs 356,175) to own the company’s futuristic mode called Enhanced Autopilot.
Also in his Tweet, Elon Musk stated that the feature will only operate on the cars which are installed Autopilot 2.5, the newest hardware package developed from 2017 to now.

The mode of Enhanced Autopilot brings much more conveniences to drivers, instead of offering only the basic features. Some are changing lanes automatically or auto-steering or more. Of which, there is one feature which may attract a lot of tech fans: the summoning feature. It can ask your Model 3 to move to your current position, and of course, you don’t need to sit inside the car to do this.
However, we have just known a little around the “360-degree dash cam” and Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, is always famous for his sense of humor. The new feature is expected to release in October 2019 along with the latest software update.
