SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk announced on his Twitter account that the first test of the Starship hopper will take place in as little as four weeks.

The CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk announced on his Twitter account that the first trial of the Starship hopper, a smaller version of the space technology company’s next Starship could occur in four weeks. However, he also warned that it might take as long as eight weeks.

 

Back in November, Musk decided to change his rocket name, from Big Falcon Rocket to Starship. The Starship was originally developed on a budget of $5 billion at the Los Angeles port. The Starship belongs to the long-term scheme of Musk for an interplanetary transportation system.

If everything goes well according to plan, the Starship will be used to take human crews to Mars. It will also be utilized for the next Lunar fly-by which is tentatively scheduled for 2023.
