The Tunnel Projects of CEO Elon Musk-backed Boring Company seem not to attract too much attention from the United States; however, their situation in the upcoming time may be another different story. According to Elon Musk, the CEO has had a plan to expand the company to the Chinese market. The launch will take place when he comes to Shanghai to take part in the World Artificial Intelligence Conference from August 29th to August 31st.

Both Elon Musk and Boring Company haven’t yet revealed much about these Tunnel Projects, including the initial projects. However, it is clear that the company has taken a big step to expand its development to other markets, instead of just focusing on the US market.
Besides, Musk implied that his company would probably aim to build underwater tunnels. As of now, there has been no official announcement on this.
As per Boring Company, it hasn’t given any explanation relating to its plan. It’s not difficult to find out the reasons behind it. For example, in China, the company may not face too much objection from regulators. The new market with more comfortable development rules is expected to bring more opportunities to the tunneling and transportation startup.

In addition, China also has a much larger population than the United States. In other words, the demand for tunnel systems in this country must be higher. Another notable thing is that Tesla can develop its own market more powerfully in China. It may gain great support from the Boring Company in its next plans.
