Airtel has partnered with Apollo Hospitals to launch a COVID-19 symptom checker tool. The tool, called Apolli247, can be found in the Airtel Thanks app. Airtel and Apollo Hospitals have used the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the World Health Organization. There is also a dedicated website with the same name where users can find all the information.
Just like the Jio symptom checker tool, the tool has a basic questionnaire that requires a user to put in their age, gender, medical records as well as travel history to assesses if the user is high-risk or low-risk. Airtel users can find the questionnaire in their Airtel thanks app while non-Airtel users can go to airtel.apollo247.com for the questionnaire.
This move from Airtel comes only a few days after Reliance Jio launched its symptom checker tool in its MyJio app. With the Jio one, users also have to answer a set of questions to see if they should go and get tested for COVID-19. The tool is available via the MyJio app as well as the website covid.bhaarat.ai.
The Indian government also has a COVID-19 symptom checking app of its own called Corona Kavach. But with this app, location- tracking is added to check the virus’ community spread. The World Health Organization is ready to release its own app as well with news, alerts, tips as well as other COVID-19- related information.
