According To LinkedIn, 70% Indians Believe They Can Find Better Jobs

Indians seem optimistic about their future job opportunities.

Despite worries about the current challenging jobs market, according to a recent survey on LinkedIn, 70% of Indians believe that they could find better job opportunities next year.

Of every three Indians, there are almost two (62 percent) that are feeling good and believe that the overall economic situation will definitely improve in the next one year. We got this data from the LinkedIn Opportunity Index in APAC (Asia Pacific) region.

The survey was a combined measure that looks into how people assume the opportunities and what prevents them from achieving those opportunities.

The research was conducted by a networking platform and obtained responses from over 11,000 participants from 9 markets in APAC region - Australia, Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland, Singapore, Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, and India.

Indonesia took the first and second spots on LinkedIn Opportunity Index; meanwhile, India took the third spot.

Then again, stronger markets, for example, Australia, Hong Kong, and Japan rank low on the Index as their citizen expressed worries over financial standpoint. For the most part, they felt more mindful about their odds of making progress with their circumstances.

Indians' lives opportunity

Indians usually consider career progress as their life opportunity. Furthermore, most Indians consider getting a new skill and working hard can help them get a significant advantage in life.

LinkedIn Opportunity Index also indicates that Indians consider starting their own business one of top three of their opportunities in life.

The survey also shows that there are three critical points regarded by Indian as their main obstacles to success. Here is the list of their responses: 31 percent said it is their financial status; 20 percent said it's due to the lack of direction; 19 percent said it is because of the job markets.

In digital India, 90 percent of the Indians feel that social media and digital give them relevant material to their targeted opportunity. Moreover, 89 percent think that it gives them the chance to get new skills and findings.

There are over 153 million members activating on LinkedIn that come from the Asia Pacific, and 53 million of them are from India.
