The sensor shift image stabilization technology will make it to Apple’s 6.7-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone releasing in 2020, according to DigiTimes, a Taiwan-based publication.

So far, we have not heard much about this technology, all we know is that image stabilization might be found in the ultra-wide lens of 2020 iPhones.

The sensor shift image stabilization technology can be the solution to this shortcoming. With it in place, users can expect stabilization whenever they use the camera sensor, without the dependence on any type of lens.

The tech can allow for better-looking shots with lens accessories, such as the OlloClip.

This leak confirms another rumor which claims that the 6.7-inch and 6.1-inch high-end iPhones will feature a triple-camera system on the rear, as well as time-of-flight 3D sensing. Largen Precision is reportedly the main supplier of these lenses, providing around 80% of the demand. The rest of the orders will be fulfilled by Genius Electric Optical.

The motor of the sensor shifting stabilization will be supplied by ALPS, a Taiwan-based company. The CMOS image sensors will be provided by Sony.

As stated by Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple scheduled five new iPhones for 2020. According to him, the first half of 2020 will see the release of iPhone SE 2 with a 4.7-inch LCD screen. Higher-end models with screens measuring 5.4 inches, 6.1 inches, and 6.7 inches.

Kuo predicted that all of the four high-end models will support 5G. The availability of devices with Sub-6G-plus-mmWave or Sub-6G-only will depend on the country.

Kuo mentioned that Canada, the UK, Korea, Japan, and the U.S will be the nations where the mmWave models will be launched.
