How To Download Amazon Prime Videos And Shows To View Offline

Subscribers to Amazon Prime service can access a massive library of shows and movies. But what could you do if there isn't a good internet connection for you to watch your favorite shows?

In case you have an upcoming long flight, or you are going to go to the wood to camp for this weekend, you could rest assured. It is possible for you to download videos from Amazon Prime to watch offline. Here is the guide to do that:

The Guide

Get the app Prime Video and sign in your account

First thing first, you need to subscribe to the Amazone Prime service. Then, you will need to get the mobile app Prime Video. That means you will need to own a compatible iOS, Android, or Fire device. On you got the app, open it on and log in to your account of Amazon Prime.

Choose a video

The next step is to choose a show or film which you wish to download, and then open its details. Remember that not all content is downloadable, and you could only download them if you are located in certain places.  Once you have chosen a show or movie, tap on the button "Download." By the way, for the shows, you could want to get individual episodes.

Choose the save location

If your phone has a storage card, then the app will ask you if you want to store the content on the external storage card or the internal storage of your phone. Remember that shows and films could be quite large, our advice is to get an external storage card (SD card).

Choose the quality

Then, decide on the video quality of the content you want to download. Beware that the better the quality, the bigger the size of the file. Next, choose "Start Download." 

Browse the downloaded contents

If you want to browse the shows and films that you have downloaded previously, tap on the button "My Stuff" locates at the bottom. The downloaded content will be there. Choose the one you like, and choose "Watch Now" to watch it.

Although the app Prime Video is available only for smartphones and tablets, you could still watch your downloaded titles on a big screen.

If you would like to watch your videos on a bigger screen, then tap on the button "More."

Then, choose the option "Watch on."

How to delete the downloaded titles?

Delete a single film

To delete a movie, heading to section "My Stuff" find the one you wish to remove, then tap on the three dots icon.

Then, choose "Delete download."

Deleting an entire show

To remove a show, heading to "Downloads," tap Edit on the show you wish to remove.

Choose the circle next to it, then choose Delete.

To delete individual episodes

Heading to "Downloads," find the show of those episodes, tap on the arrow.

Find the one you wish to remove, tap on the three dots, then choose "Delete."
