Samsung Galaxy M21 Hands-On: Simple Design, 48MP Triple Cameras, 6,000mAh Battery

Samsung Galaxy M21 is a mid-range phone that mostly aims at users who need a smartphone for basic tasks and have a long battery life.

Unlike the Galaxy A series with attractive and glossy design, Samsung sticks to the fairly basic design and mostly made of plastic in the Samsung Galaxy M21. Besides the monochromatic & slightly-curved back, the highlight of the phone is the large camera cluster like the newly launched smartphones and its mammoth 6,000 mAh battery.

Because of the massive battery, the Samsung Galaxy M21 has a thickness of up to 8.9mm. That is also the reason why the camera cluster does not protrude too much, making the back feel completely seamless. Along with that, the Galaxy M21 is still equipped with a one-touch fingerprint sensor in the middle, rather than an under-display sensor as a way to minimize costs.

The Samsung Galaxy M21 is equipped with a Super AMOLED screen with a size of 6.4 inches and Full-HD+ resolution. The use of the Infinity-U design allows the two sides of the screen to become thinner and that also shrinks the size of the overall body. However, the bottom chin is still relatively thick.

There are three cameras at the back of this phone with multiple photography features. The setup includes: 48MP f / 2.0 main camera, 8MP f / 2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor for portrait shots.

The selfie camera on the Samsung Galaxy M21 uses a 20MP f / 2.0 sensor and supports beauty and portrait features.

The processor powering the Galaxy M21 is an Exynos 9611, paired with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal memory. The internals of this phone are quite similar to some Galaxy A mid-range models that Samsung launched late last year.

The thing that makes the Galaxy M21 stand out is its massive battery with a capacity of up to 6,000mAh. The device also supports 15W fast charging technology, which significantly cut down the charging time.

Instead of focusing on high-end features, Samsung pays more attention to practical use with terrific battery life. Maybe the Samsung Galaxy M21 is not a suitable device for those who love experiencing new technology. This is actually a great option for middle-aged users or those who have to move around a lot.

The Samsung Galaxy M21 price in India is Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. It also comes in a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model, which is priced at Rs. 14,999. The device is already up for sales in Raven Black and Midnight Blue color variants.
