Oppo Smartwatch vs Apple Watch? In terms of design, the smartwatch from Oppo does look a bit like the one from Apple. The similarities can be found in the body, the fascia, and the straps. In the consumer tech space, it isn’t something strange when you find a product looking similar to one from Apple.
Here, the Oppo watch is looking almost as strong and sleek as Apple’s wearable. All the curves connect seamlessly. The device doesn’t seem fragile at all. There are two sizes to choose from, a smaller 41mm one and a bigger 46mm one.
The frame is made using series-6000 aluminum and can handle relatively carefree use. Besides the Black variant, there is a Glossy Gold one. With the 41mm version, you also have the Silver Mist option.
People who have skinnier wrists usually don’t want a watch that looks too big. However, the smartwatch from Oppo is a rare exception. Its 1.91-inch display curves on the sides, resulting in the smartwatch looking a bit smaller.

On the left side is the loudspeaker while on the right are two pushers for navigation and functions. On the bottom, the button has a subtle green accent.
The resolution of the display is 402 x 476, one of the highest. Icons and texts are adequately clear and sharp. At standard viewing distances, you won’t see the individual pixels.
The AMOLED construction adds another immersive level with the sides fading away in the frame. Colors are punchy and vibrant.

Android wearables have had problems with frequent lags and inconsistent performance for years. The only exception has been Samsung watches. It was rare to see the same level of fluidity on Wear OS. It’s fortunate that the smartwatch from Oppo scores highs in terms of performance. This includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100, a dual-chip system and the battery saver mode uses Ambiq Apollo 3 chipset.
The Oppo Watch comes with 1GB of RAM. The combination resulting in extremely responsive and smooth operations. It responds to slides and taps quickly, wakes from sleep promptly, and doesn’t need too much time loading.
This is another aspect that the smartwatch from Oppo can handle well. On the back of the watch, there is a heart-rate monitor checking your pulse regularly. If there are any high or unusual readings, it will also alert you. The smartwatch also has built-in GPS.

There are five workout routines that are specially developed: fat burn run, fitness run, outdoor walk, swimming, and outdoor cycling.
The smartwatch also comes with the sleep tracking feature. However, it only covers sleep from 8 pm to 10 am.
When the watch is connected to your smartphone, you can also answer calls. The volume is a bit low though. When you are outdoors, you might have to take the watch closer to your face.
Oppo will launch an LTE version with eSIM capabilities in some markets.
The Oppo Watch uses a 430mAh battery, a relatively large one. However, it struggles to last 36 hours like what Oppo claims. The lasting time was around 20 hours. You can switch to the Power Saver Mode, which is said to add 20 days of usage. The smartwatch will switch to a watch face that is simpler and has a lower refresh rate.
With the Power Save mode, the smartwatch will still display the time, track the pulse, number of steps while handling basic notifications.
For charging, Oppo offers VOOC Flash charging which can take a near-empty smartwatch to full in around over an hour. Since the smartwatch doesn't support wireless charging, you will have to use the cradle that comes with the box.
Do take note that all this applies to the 46mm Oppo Watch. The smaller 41mm model has a smaller battery cell, 300mAh.
