Apple Admit Issues In iPhone X and MacBook Pro And They Will Fix Them For Free

Apple admits there are two known hardware issues in the iPhone X and MacBook Pro and they will fix them for free.

Apple just made an announcement saying that they are aware of several known hardware issues on its new 13-inch MacBook Pro (non-touch Bar) and iPhone X as well.

The iPhone maker said that there are some touch issues with the display screens of some iPhone X devices and they are as follows:
- Part of the iPhone X screen or the whole screen, responses intermittently or doesn’t respond at all to users’ touch.
- The iPhone X’s screen even reacts without users touching it.

Apple stated that users who have phones with those issues can come to any Apple retail stores or a Service Provided Authorised by Apple and have their iPhone X’s display modules replaced for free.

Bloomberg said that a lot of iPhone X owners had already reported this touch issue for quite a long time. Moreover, interestingly, the 2017 iPhone X was only hit the market since November 2017, about only 10 months after Apple decided to discontinue it in September 2018 following the launch of its new iPhone XR, XS and XS Max.

A similar touch issue also happened in 2016 with the iPhone 6 Plus. But back then, users had to pay around $149 (Rs. 10,800) to fix the issue.

Along with the touch issue of the iPhone X, Apple also confirmed a new problem that may cause drive failure or data loss in the 13-inch MacBook Pro (non-Touch Bar) which were sold between June 2017 and June 2018.

Similar to the iPhone X issue, they said that users who are experiencing the problem in their MacBook Pro can also get their devices serviced for free at either Apple Authorized Service Provider or any of Apple’s retail stores. And you can check if your MacBook Pro requires to be serviced or not, you will need to fill the serial number of your laptops on the support page of Apple.
