Vivo Y5 India To Launch This Month; Triple Rear Cameras, 5,000mAh Battery Tipped

It will be powered by a massive 5,000mAh cell and the cheapest phone with a triple camera setup.

It is recently leaked that the two new affordable offerings, Vivo Y3, and Vivo Y5 are set to launch in India. Now, according to 91Mobiles, the availability, pricing, and several specs of the Vivo Y5 have now been leaked. The source claims that they have got the details from an Executive at Vivo who would like to stay anonymous. Hence, we believe that the leaked details can be trusted.

As per the source, the upcoming Vivo Y5 will come with a triple rear camera, a massive 5,000mAh cell, and the latest Android 9.0 Pie. 91Mobiles claims that Vivo will offer the handset at around Rs. 15,000 and it will launch sometime after 15 April. That’s all we have known from the information on 91Mobiles.

If the Vivo Y5 indeed packs a triple rear camera for a price of Rs. 15,000, it would be one of the cheapest phones that have triple cameras. Additionally, the handset is tipped to pack a 5,000mAh cell, and it will be the first from the brand to feature such as battery capacity. If the price is accurate, this upcoming phone will likely compete with the likes of Galaxy A30, Galaxy M30, Realme 2 Pro, Honor 10 Lite, and Redmi Note 7 Pro.

That’s pretty much all information we know about the Vivo Y5 as, besides this, there has not been any other major leak of the phone. However, Vivo is known for offering a glass back design and a high-resolution selfie camera. The phone’s display should be around 6 inches in size or higher. As for the processor, as the more expensive Vivo V15 comes with an MTK Helio P70 processor, the Vivo Y5 will likely be powered by a less powerful one which might be the MTK Helio P60 chipset. As the phone is said to pack a massive 5,000mAh cell, it should support a fast charging tech, so users will not have to wait forever to fully charge the phone.
