Samsung Galaxy A8s Launches In South Korea As Galaxy A9 Pro (2019)

The Galaxy A8s launched in the Chinese market on December last year and it now comes in South Korea under the name of Galaxy A9 Pro (2019).

The South Korean giant Samsung just announced a new addition to its Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) in the company’s home market. The handset is priced at 599,500 Korean won (around Rs. 38,000). The device also features Samsung’s Infinity-O design that was already used in the Galaxy A8s. Actually, the device is tipped to be just a rebranded model of the recently-released Galaxy A8s in the South Korean market.
Galaxy A9 Pro (2019): Specs & features
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) sports a 6.4-inch FHD+ hole-punch display which has a screen cut-out for a selfie camera just like what is on the Galaxy A8s. The display has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and is protected by a 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 710 processor, coupled with 6GB RAM/128GB storage which is expandable via a microSD slot.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) comes with a triple rear camera system, comprising of a 24MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, a 10MP telephoto lens with support for 2x optical zoom, a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, it features a 24MP selfie camera that is located in the screen cut-out on the front.
The handset is expected to pack a 3,400 mAh battery with support for fast charging, run Android 9 Pie and come with Samsung’s Bixby with a dedicated button to activate it.
It will come in three color options, including Green, Blue, and Grey and will be up for sale from 28 February. All buyers of the Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) who participated in the Samsung Members program until 31 March will be able to get a free 10,000 mAh power bank. For now, Samsung only announced to launch the phone in its home market, but it will eventually come in other markets in the upcoming weeks, but the price may be varied in different markets.
