Nubia Is Set To Launch The Red Magic 3 Gaming Smartphone On 28 April

Nubia is said to launch a new gaming-centric phone called Nubia Red Magic 3 with a Snapdragon 855 SoC at a launch event on 28 April in China.

Nubia is planning to launch the Nubia Red Magic 3 in China at an event on 28 April. The event will be held in Beijing, confirmed by Ni Fei - Nubia’s General Manager on his Weibo post this Thursday. The gaming-focused Nubia Redmi Magic is expected to be the direct successor to the last year’s Nubia Red Magic Mars. The main highlights of this phone are the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset, 12GB RAM, and a large 3,800mAh cell. As confirmed earlier by the company, besides the Nubia Red Magic 3, it will also launch the Nubia Pods and Nubia Alpha smartwatch in India in the next month.

On his Weibo post, Fei uploaded a photo confirming the release date of the upcoming Redmi Magic 3. However, the said photo doesn’t provide any further details about the handset besides the venue that the launch event will take place and it is the RNG eSports Centre located in Beijing. Furthermore, the phone along with Nubia Pods and Nubia Alpha smartwatch were confirmed to come to the Indian market this May. However, the availability and pricing of these three products remain unknown.

For now, there are only a few specs of the phone revealed by Ni Fei. They include a 3,800mAh cell and a 4D vibration system which is touted to provide a butter haptic feedback for users when they play games with the Nubia Red Magic 3. Moreover, similar to a few other gaming-centric handsets, the Nubia gaming phone might also come with an air and liquid cooling system for better thermal management and it will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with 12GB RAM.

In addition, the refresh rate of the display on the Red Magic 3 is claimed to be higher than most of the gaming PCs. Therefore, it might be around 120Hz or even higher.
