The latest addition to HMD Global's mobile portfolio, Nokia X71, just launched with a punch-hole display, 48MP rear camera, and triple rear cameras.

After featuring in many rumors and leaks, the Nokia X71 finally launches as HMD Global unveiled it at a release event in Taiwan. This new Nokia X71 is the first handset from the company to sport a triple camera setup and a punch-hole screen design just like the Galaxy S10 phones. Besides that, the device also comes with a glass-sandwich design along with dual tone finish, a 48MP rear camera, and also Android One. It is said to come as Nokia 6 (2019) or Nokia 8.1 Plus or Nokia 6.2 in the global market.

Nokia X71: Price

The handset is offered at Taiwan for 11,990 Taiwan Dollar which is around Rs. 27,000. It will be up for sale in the Taiwanese market from 10 April. The company hasn’t revealed its color variants as well as the launch date of the phone in other markets including India.

Nokia X71: Specs & Features

The handset sports a 6.39-inch FHD+ PureDisplay panel with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. With the hole-punch display, it has a quite impressive 93 percent of screen-to-body ratio. Powering the handset is a Snapdragon 660 SoC, coupled with 6GB RAM/128GB of storage, which is expandable via a microSD slot up to 256GB.

As mentioned, it has a glass-sandwich design with a metal frame and a rather strange LED flash placement. At the back, it sports a triple camera system and a fingerprint scanner under the camera module. The setup includes a 48MP primary Zeiss-branded camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide-angle camera and a third 5MP depth sensor. Up front, it comes with a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Its cameras are supported by AI-powered features like scene recognition, and it is claimed to capture bright, clear, low-noise and pure pictures in many low-light conditions.

As for software, it ships with the latest Android 9.0 Pie at launch, and since it is a part of Google’s Android One, it will be more likely to get faster updates from Google. A 3,500mAh cell will keep the phone up and running with support for 18W fast charging standard.
