iPhone XS Reportedly Has The Charging Issue - The Third Issue Until Now

Recently, on the MacRumors forum and the Apple support forum have had a topic relating to the charging issue given by iPhone XS users.

They have reported that their iPhone XS devices don’t charge when connecting to the power or when the screen is off. Some say they have to plug and unplug the Lightning cable into their new iPhones several times before they are really charged.

Some people charge their iPhones at night before they sleep but when they wake up, the phones still remain uncharged.

Lewis Hilsenteger, vlogger of YouTube channel Unbox Therapy made a test with 9 iPhone XS and XS Max devices. As a result, some of those are really facing the charging issue. This issue tends to happen in iPhone XS Max more than in iPhone XS. Hilsenteger named this issue "ChargeGate".

The last-year model, iPhone X hasn’t received any claims about the charging issue when being tested by Unbox Therapy.
It is said that the charging issue may be related to the USB device protection feature in iOS 11.4.1 and iOS 12. The feature can disable the Lightning port if iPhone doesn’t act in a
long time. This helps to prevent people including hackers and law enforcement forces from interfering the device. Apple has written in its page that in some cases, the iPhone won't charge.
However, some affected iPhone users said that turning this feature off is not helpful.

There hasn't had a proper answer about what causes this problem. This can be a software error which can be fixed when updating or a hardware issue that needs a call-back event. Until now, Apple hasn't given any official answer on this matter.
This ChargeGate is the third issue reported by users. The first one is poor Wi-Fi/cell reception and performance, and the second is auto face-smooth that cannot be disabled in a selfie camera.
