iPhone 11 Is Rumored To Feature A New Taptic Engine And Upgraded Selfie Camera

The three new models of the iPhone 11 lineup may come with Lighting connector and a new Taptic Engine to replace 3D Touch

Rumor has it that Apple may release three new models of the iPhone 11  lineup this fall. All of them will come with the company’s Lighting connector despite the switch to USB-C that Apple made for the iPad Pro last year.

Under the hood, it is believed that the upcoming iPhones will sport Apple’s A13 chip and a Taptic Engine called leap haptics. We have not heard much of the latter, but we can be sure that it will come in the place of the 3D Touch feature.

iOS 13 comes with Haptic Touch, which requires users to press a little bit longer. This change, coupled with the leap haptics, should pave the way for the removal of 3D Touch without any significant interruption to the habit of users who have grown accustomed to it.

From the leaks regarding the camera arrangement on the new iPhone 11, we have reasons to believe that we will have three snappers and OLED display on these new models. Explaining the space on the camera module, 9to5Mac said that it is meant for a wide-angle camera, which is rumored to feature a function called Smart Frame for capturing the area outside of the framed part of images. If this speculation turns out to be accurate, users can adjust the perspective and framing as they wish.

About the selfie camera, we have heard rumors that it will get an upgrade so that users can record slow-motion videos at 120 fps.

Many leakers believe that the same display resolution we see on iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR will make a comeback this year. The three new models will just take the place of the current offers.

The official release of the new iPhones is just two months away so until then, stay tuned for more updates, from both Apple themselves and leakers.
