iPhone 11 Still Works After Being Submerged In Water For 6 Months

Freelance diver Clayton Helkenberg discovered an iPhone while diving. The phone remained unscathed even after being submerged in the water.

Freelance diver Clayton Helkenberg and his wife Heather have a hobby of diving to the bottom of a lake to look for lost items and clean up the trash. In his recent video, Helkenberg revealed that he discovered an iPhone while diving at Harrison lake.

When exploring the lake, his wife Heather found an iPhone in the mud while Helkenberg found a flip phone. The iPhone was in much better condition than the flip phone.

Helkenberg brought the phone back to his house, wiped the dirt off, and it worked again. According to him, the only problems with the phone were the broken speakers and microphones. The phone remained unscathed even after being submerged in the water.

After he removed the SIM and inserted it into another device, Helkenberg found the owner of the phone, Fatemeh Ghodsi, a Vancouver resident. Apparently, she dropped the phone during a boat trip last September.

Ghodsi said that she lost her balance and fell into the water before losing her phone. The staff accompanying her told her that it was impossible to find the phone.

The only problems with the phone were the broken speakers and microphones.

After the incident, Ghodsi bought a new mobile device. When she received a text message from her old phone number, Ghodsi thought it was a scam. But she decided to go to Chilliwack where Clayton and his wife were living and received her old smartphone.
