HMD Global just announced two phones in partnership with Cricket Wireless and AT&T in the US, dubbed Nokia 3.1 C and Nokia 3.1 A, respectively. They come with slightly bigger displays, newer chipsets, and also different memory configurations compared to the Nokia 3.1. For now, the company hasn’t mentioned whether they will bring these two handsets to India.

The Nokia 3.1 C and Nokia 3.1 A are nearly identical to each other in both design and specifications. The major difference between the two is their color variants. While the Nokia 3.1 C is offered in a single White color variant, users can buy the Nokia 3.1 A in Black color option.
Nokia 3.1 A & Nokia 3.1 C: Price
The Nokia 3.1 A is expected to be up for purchase from 10 June via some Walmart stores. As for the Nokia 3.1 C, it will be up for sale from 14 June via Cricket Wireless. Their prices haven’t been revealed yet, but we doubt that they should come with an affordable price tag.
Nokia 3.1 A & Nokia 3.1 C specifications
As mentioned, these two phones share quite a lot of similarities. Both of them sport a 5.45-inch display with HD resolution. Powering the two phones is a Snapdragon 429 quad-core processor, coupled with up to 32GB storage and 2GB of RAM. Users can further expand their storage via a microSD slot.

In terms of camera, they come with an 8MP camera on the rear and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. They are both fueled by a 2,990mAh battery and charged via a USB-C port. Software-wise, they will ship with Android 9 Pie with a custom UI on top. Because they both run on a custom UI, it means they are not a part of Google's Android One and they won't receive fast updates as other offerings from Nokia.
For comparison, the Nokia 3.1 sports a smaller 5.2-inch display with HD+ resolution. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 SoC, aided by up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Its cameras include a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera. It is fueled by the same 2,990 mAh battery and boots Android 9 Pie. However, the Nokia 3.1 is a part of Android program so it should get faster updates.
