Apple Rolls Out iOS 12.2 With Apple News+, New Animoji & AirPlay 2 Features

Apple has just rolled out the new iOS 12.2 update for iOS devices. This new software update includes the newly-introduced Apple News Plus, which is Apple’s news subscriptions that include over 300 magazines for a monthly subscription fee of $9.99.
Another notable feature that is included in the new iOS 12.2 update is the new ability for Apple’s virtual assistant Siri to play a video from iOS devices to the Apple TV. That means users can now control their Apple TVs using Siri on their iOS devices like iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone. This new feature requires users to update their Apple TVs to iOS 12.2 version as well.
In addition, this new update, as expected, also brings new support for the 2nd-gen AirPods which has just been announced nearly a week ago. Also included with the iOS 12.2 update is the Logitech Crayon support for iPad Pro, which previously was limited to only the 6th-gen iPad.
Four new Animoji are also brought by this new update, including a shark, owl, boar, and giraffe.
Lastly, this new iOS 12.2 software update also includes bug fixes and improvements.
To check for new update on your iPad and iPhone, go to “Settings,” then “General.” and move to “Software Update,” where it should list the latest update.
Alongside Apple News Plus, there were four more major announcements at the event on Apple Show Time event. The first two are Apple's new credit card called Apple Card and new gaming subscription service called Apple Arcade.
The third one is Apple TV Channels which allows users to pay for a single channel instead of paying for the whole package from cable companies.
The last on the line is Apple TV Plus which is its original movie and TV subscription service and it is believed to be Apple attempt to compete against Netflix.
