Last week, the Telugu Desam Party or TDP must have a great shock when knowing that WhatsApp banned R Srinivasa Reddy, who now serves as a district president and also a member of this party.

One member from another party also receiving the same ban from the messaging app is C.M. Ramesh of Rajya Sabha.
When being asked the reasons for banning the two Indian politicians, WhatsApp, owned by Facebook, hasn’t given any response to media. As per these politicians, they stated that they didn’t violate any Terms of Service offered by the app.
There are a lot of reasons why you get a ban from WhatsApp, even when you are not reported by any other users. For example, the company thinks you are violating its Terms of Service. Or you have sent any threatening or illegal messages concerning some sensitive topics from hate speech, racism to obscenity. You can access the page of WhatsApp to get further information.

In addition, a ban from WhatsApp may hail from your own statements. In other words, sharing fake news on this platform may bring you an unexpected ban.
This may be a big issue in India, especially when its citizens are not accustomed to verify the authenticity of news from WhatsApp, as well as other platforms, before sharing it.
Up to now, there has been no firm clue; however, the two Indian politicians supposedly got a ban because of sharing a fake message on the platform. The theory seems to be rather reasonable when they are connected with each other and even, member of the same groups.
