Tesla To Lay Off 7 Percent Of Its Workforce

After SpaceX announced to cut off 10 % of its workforce, Tesla is next in the line as a lot of its employees find out they are losing their jobs.

Previously, SpaceX announced its plan to cut off 10% of its employees. Last Friday, a lot of workers working at Tesla, another company of Elon Musk, discovered that they are also being dismissed from their job titles. There are currently 45,000 employees at Tesla, so the number of people losing their jobs is 3,150.

Musk wrote in his email:

When taking into account all possibilities, it is likely that other venture of Musk, the Boring Company, might be the next to experience layoffs.
As stated in Musk’s email, the layoffs of Tesla relate completely to numbers as he spent two of his paragraphs to write about production costs for consumers, future delivery deadlines, and quarterly financial reports.
This does not come as a surprise as Tesla is trying to focus on and prioritize finances.
Musk also mentioned that employees who do not find themselves on the layoffs list should expect their road ahead to be extremely difficult and challenging.
For the next six months, after the layoffs, with fewer employees remaining, the company will need to boost its Model 3’s production rate, enhance the company’s manufacturing engineering and lower the production costs for consumers.
Musk is quite optimistic about the future of Tesla, though.
